Minority Report Clip Analysis

Clip One:

This clip uses a medium close up in order to show the characters emotions which are (determined and overall quite serious)and to display what significance they have in the scene (it is made clear that they are police officers) This juxtaposes the following scene of the main character making an eye line match with the main officer, then closely followed by the main character running away from them.

Clip Two:

In this clip, an establishing shot is used to display what location the scene is in and to show what is happening fully at the time that is involving the subject. This shot allows the audience to see how the character is running away in the distance from the police that happen to be exiting the car. Therefore, this camera shot helps the audience to understand what is happening in the series of events.

Clip Three:

This clip shows a close up in order to display the characters emotion and to show what he might be thinking (but not saying). The audience can clearly see that he is concerned and potentially about to make an escape/ run. If a shot further out was used here, the characters emotion would have been less clear or obvious for the audience for the audience to understand as he wouldn't have been the focus of the shot.
